Bead Store Classes
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS at
Global Marketplace Bead Store, Rocklin, CA
Each month, we host jewelry-making classes
at our store in the Sunset Plaza at 6015 Pacific
Street #10, Rocklin, CA. We will provide the supplies (included
in the class fee) to make a
bracelet, necklace, or earrings and the tools you can use during
the class. If you have any

Class Descriptions
Beginning Beading
- This class is for first-time beaders and covers the basics of
how to make
jewelry. In class, you will learn what beads, wire, clasps, and
tools to use for various projects.
Glass Bead Bracelet
- This class is for the beginner or advanced beader. We have many
fun-shaped, beautifully-colored glass beads. Learn to make a classy
bracelet with a great new
look. Supplies include one strand of glass beads, wire and findings.
Kazuri Earring Making - You can take this class even if you are a beginner.
It will show you how
to make a basic earring set with the beautiful Kazuri Beads. Supplies
include earring wire, and
two single-color Kazuri Beads. You can purchase extra or different
Kazuri Beads in class if
desired.
Kazuri Necklace Making - This class is designed for beaders of any experience
level. You get a
chance to work with the beautiful Kazuri Beads, and see how well
they look with the
semi-precious stone beads. Supplies include two single-color Kazuri
Beads and one strand of
the semi-precious stone beads, along with the wire and clasp for
one necklace. This class is
great!
Mommy & Me
- This class will be a fun way to spend a little time with your
child. You and your
child will each make a fun piece of jewelry while laughing and
enjoying each others company
and creativity! Suggested for children 8 years old or older. Supplies
include one strand of
semi-precious stone beads or one strand of glass beads, plus wire
or Stretch Magic, and
findings for two items.
Multi-strand Kazuri Bracelet - This class is a combination of our famous Kazuri
Beads and three
strands of the semi-precious stone beads to make a masterpiece!
The class is for anyone,
including beginners. Supplies include one large Kazuri pendant
bead, one strand of
semi-precious stone beads, and Stretch Magic cord.
Open Class
- This class is for anyone and everyone working on a jewelry-making
project!
Come in and use our tools and ask any questions or advice about
your project from our
knowledgeable instructor.
Teen Afternoon
- This fun afternoon class is great for teens 10-18 years old
-- great for a group
of teens or a Mother/Daughter project. You will make a necklace
or bracelet with either
semi-precious stone beads or our retro glass beads. Supplies include
one strand of
semi-precious stone beads or one strand of glass beads, plus wire
and all findings.
Wire Works
- This is the basic beginning wire looping class and will show
you how to expand
your skills while using wire. The art of looping will show you
just how beautiful and simple you
can make a very lovely piece of jewelry. Materials include one
strand of semi-precious stone
beads, plus wire and findings. This class is also offered as a
Mommy & Me class -- suggested
for children 8 years old or older.
Wire Wrapping
- Our instructor will show you how to wire wrap like a pro, even
if this is your first
piece! The class will be a beginners wire wrap class with
all the possibilities from the Kazuri
and semi-precious stone beads. This class will give your jewelry
making a custom look and
finish! Supplies include one strand of semi-precious stone beads
and one large Kazuri pendant
bead.
Class Instructors
Sandy Simon
has been enjoying beading for 6 years as a hobby with her sister
and mother.
Sandy really enjoys wire wrapping. She was taught how to wire
wrap by a professional wire
wrap instructor in northern Arizona.
Ruth Mudd has
many years of arts and crafts experience, starting in
1984. She started beading in 2004 as a hobby and started teaching
the
craft to others in 2006. Ruth studied art and design at St. Mary's
College
in Moraga, CA, and more recently, is pursuing a degree in Art
and Art
Design at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA. Ruth is a regular instructor
with
Global Marketplace in their Rocklin, CA, store.
Tools -
If you already have your own tools, you are welcome to bring them
to the class.
Otherwise, tools provided are for use during the class, and new
tools can be purchased from our
store after the class.
